DESCRIPTION:Case description:\n\nIt is about complex arteriovenous malforma
 tions of the right lung in a now 5 year old boy. The child became symptoma
 tic shortly after birth with tachydyspnea and low oxygen saturation. The p
 atient already underwent two sessions of transcatheter embolization of var
 ious feeding vessels at the age of both two and six months without immedia
 te complications and showed a stable clinical course over the past years. 
 Most recently\, the patient’s condition has deteriorated significantly a
 nd he is now presenting with a significant progress of the arteriovenous m
 alformation including right-to-left shunting resulting in an SpO2 of 80%\,
  digital clubbing and reduced excercise tolerance. We now aim to surgicall
 y resect the affected lung segments. The segments affected have consistent
 ly been the same since birth\, no malformations have ever been demonstrate
 d via angiographic imaging in other lung segments. However\, the extensive
  nature of the condition as well as the large vessel calibers make managem
 ent challenging\, so any advice—also with regard to a possible underlyin
 g systemic disease—is very welcome.\n\n→ For all those who are alread
