DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Open Academy Schools will take place in Barcelona fro
 m 25-28 May 2026.\nThe face-to-face intensive training of the Open Academ
 y School on Medicines Research &amp\; Development and the Open Academy S
 chool on Scientific Innovation &amp\; Translational Research take place d
 uring the same days\, incorporating parallel sessions\, focusing on Scho
 ol-specific topics\, and joint sessions focusing on patient engagement a
 nd leadership. Knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities are foster
 ed throughout the training.\nThe programme will include one off-site visi
 t to a research facility/hospital\, lots of contact time with faculty an
 d EURORDIS staff and the chance to network with fellow patient advocates
  and researchers\, supporting each other in learning and practice during t
 he training and beyond. Schools are delivered in English in a blended for
