SUMMARY:ERS course- Thoracic ultrasound training programme – part two
DESCRIPTION:2–3 December\, 2024 | Online\n\nThe Thoracic ultrasound cert
 ified training programme is a three-part programme designed to train qual
 ified doctors to independently perform thoracic ultrasound.\n\nThis one-an
 d-a-half day course will focus on practical aspects of thoracic ultrasound
  (TUS) procedures including demonstrations on volunteers\, and discussion 
 and interpretation of clinical cases. Each of the six topics will begin wi
 th a short overview with selected key elements and pitfalls.\n\nFollowing 
 the online course\, all participants will create a portfolio of ten TUS sc
 ans and review five cases from other participants.\n\n 	Phase 1: Create a 
 portfolio of 10 TUS scans by  29 January\, 2025\n\n 	Phase 2: Review fiv
 e cases from other participants on the shared portal between 5-10 Februar
 y\, 2025\n\nParticipants who attend the live online course and complete th
 e post-course requirements will be awarded a certification of completion f
 or part two and will be eligible to proceed to part three of the TUS train
 ing programme.\n\nThe next Part 3 – OSCE will take place in Copenhagen\
 , on 1 March\, 2025. Another OSCE will be planned in September 2025 in Ams
 terdam at the ERS congress venue.
