A highly productive two day programme of collaboration and strategic exchange is taking place in Luxembourg for the European Reference Networks (ERNs).
Throughout the ERN Coordinators Meeting and the joint session involving ERNs, DG SANTE, the Board of Member States, and Hospital Managers, discussions will concentrate on the future of the ERN ecosystem and on advancing the quality and coordination of care for patients with rare and complex diseases across Europe.
These meetings serve as an essential platform to:

  • Share insights and perspectives among key stakeholders
  • Provide structured updates on ongoing initiatives and developments
  • Identify challenges and unmet needs within the network
  • Review digital tools, registries, evaluation processes, and policy progress
  • Define future priorities and practical solutions
Sustained collaboration between ERNs, policymakers, healthcare institutions, and Member States remains fundamental to strengthening cross border healthcare and ensuring improved outcomes for patients throughout Europe.
