ERN-LUNG held their Annual Board Meeting (ABM) on February 19 & 20 at the University Hospital Frankfurt, Germany. Over 100 participants were expected, but unfortunately, due to the Lufthansa strike currently going on, some of the members were unable to come.
The Board meeting included full and affiliated healthcare providers, as well as supporting partners/members, and ERN-LUNG patient advisory group representatives.
On the first day, the Functional Committees presented their updates on ongoing projects, and also the Network Coordination Team (NCT) gave an insight on their activities, which includes the new working group called “Undiagnosed Patients”. This group was recently formed with the aim of developing a guideline or patient pathway for the referral of undiagnosed patients to the ERN.
Furthermore, the NCT gave an insight on a project called „ERN-LUNG Goes East“, which has also been formed recently and aims to better involve the Eastern European countries into our network.Â
The ERN-LUNG academy saw an increase in participants last year and even awarded a prize to the professor who has created the best webinar in 2023.
On the second day, the Core Network leads gave their updates on past, ongoing and future activities.
The full report of this very successful meeting will be made available in due time.
