The European Pulmonary Fibrosis Federation held its Patient Advocacy Forum from 24th to 27th April in Frankfurt. The Forum offered a great variety of topics such as sessions on the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis as well as explored the pipeline and the role patients can play in the drug development process.
A speaker joined the sessions from the European Medicines Agency and an online presentation was held by the representative of the European Commission on the new developments of health-technology assessment in the European Union.
ERN-Lung was introduced in details in a separate session and the patient advocates and physicians from the audience raised a couple of questions and expressed their interest in some of the initiatives such as clinical trial network and the academy.
The meeting also provided a great opportunity to network with the ILD community and explore potential fields of collaboration.
