The 2025 Patient Partnership Challengeย officially announced its winners, honoring exceptional collaborations between patient representatives and healthcare professionals withinย European Reference Networks (ERNs) and we are happy to announce that ERN-LUNG is among the recognised winning practice.
This initiative highlights innovative practices designed to strengthen patient engagement and improve healthcare outcomes for individuals living withย rare or complex conditions. The winners were chosen by a diverseย Selection Committeeโcomposed of patient representatives, project managers, a researcher, andย EURORDISย staffโbased on their ability to foster meaningful partnerships across the networks.
ERN-LUNG: The Undiagnosed Patients Working Group

The UnDiagnosed Patients Working Group (WG) operates within ERN-LUNG. In this WG, clinicians collaborate with patient representatives to develop a standard operating procedure in form of a pathway for the referral of undiagnosed patients with respiratory symptoms to ERN-LUNG (European level of finding a diagnosis).
