RDI and partners call on UN Member States to realise UHC for the global rare disease community

On 21^st September, Rare Diseases International (RDI) partnered with EURORDIS, Ågrenska, and FEDER to hold a formal side-event to the United Nations high-level meeting on universal health coverage (UHC) titled “Engaging the UN System and Member States to Achieve UHC for PLWRDD: A Blueprint for Leaving No One Behind.” The purpose of this event was to highlight the importance of including rare diseases in efforts to improve UHC, as it can only truly be universal if it meets the needs of the 300 million people living with rare diseases worldwide.
