Although we only financially support participants from EU member States (travel and accomodation to a ERN-LUNG Healthcare center of their choice), we do an exception for participants from Ukraine and provide funding for them. Thus, with the help of ERN-LUNG, two doctors from Kiev travelled to Hanover, Germany (Medizinische Hochschule Hannover) to learn more about lung transplantation and CLAD with our Core Network lead for CLAD Jens Gottlieb. This is not only a support from ERN-LUNG at difficult times for Ukranian doctors, but it is also a sign that ERN-LUNG wishes to promote knowledge and appropriate care among countries with a candidate status for the EU.
