ERN-LUNG Academy

The ERN-LUNG Academy is a curriculum for medical staff at any stage of their career, who wishes to get a proof of knowledge on rare respiratory diseases. It consists of Webinars and eCases, but also includes on-site training in ERN-LUNG Centers. We call for applications from participants of EU-member States from September to November each year. Classes start in January. If you wish to apply for next yearโ€™s class, please send a letter of motivation to info@ern-lung.eu

ERN-LUNG Online advance system

The EXpert Advisory BOard (EXABO) is a pan-European internet platform, which has been developed in the context of ERN-LUNG in liaison with the Medical Informatics Group of University Hospital Frankfurt, to answer questions on all aspects of rare respiratory diseases. The platform is primarily aimed at patients and care team members but is openly accessible by anyone who wants to ask a related question.

Training for patient representatives and advocates on leadership and communication skills - EJP RD 2023

The International Course โ€œTraining for patient representatives and advocates on leadership and communication skillsโ€ is part of a series of training activities proposed by the EJP RD. EJP RD is a European Commission funded project (Grant Agreement 825575, 2019 โ€“ 2023) with the goal to create a comprehensive sustainable ecosystem, allowing a virtuous circle between research, care and medical innovation.

This International course is part of Work Package 15 of the EJP RD, โ€œCapacity building and training of patients and researchers in Rare Disease research and processโ€, Task 15.3 โ€œTraining for patient representatives and advocates on leadership and communication skillsโ€. WP and Task Leader:ย EURORDISย -Rare Disease Europe, France.

The Course is a 2 days training preceded by preparatory pre-training elements. The edition of 2023 is organised byย MUG, Medical University of Gdaล„sk, in close collaboration with WP15 and Task Leaderย EURORDISย -Rare Disease Europe, France.

The course aims to teach participants presentation, negotiation and leadership skills, through plenary presentations and interactive sessions, in order to improve their ability to communicate and represent needs in an assertive way, to influence important decisions and to guide the strategic decision-making, when engaging with healthcare providers and other rare disease stakeholders.
